Volcanism

The Auvergne has the largest collection of extinct volcanoes in Europe, including the impressive Chaîne des Puys, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2018. Feast your eyes on volcanic peaks, clear blue crater lakes, and sharp mountain ridges. From the highest peak of the Puy de Sancy, you look out over a world created millions of years ago.
Bringing children? A day at the Vulcania volcano park and the open volcano Lemptégy is highly recommended!

Walking and cycling

Did you know…?
Many of the hiking trails around our houses are old connecting roads that farmers have used for centuries? The stone walls you see along the way tell the story of generations who lived with respect for the land.
